In this post I‘ll talk about a few changes.
The schedule will change as will the way I‘ll handle PPV‘s from now on.
Find out exactly what that means for you by reading on!
Hey everybody!
This is one of those posts that you sometimes have to make.
It‘s important to do some house keeping every once in a while and look at how you can create the best version of, well, anything, really.
There‘s a few things I‘d like to address, one of them are predictions to PPV‘s.
I won‘t do them anymore.
That‘s the long and short of it.
I decided it was best to cut them because they don‘t really add much value to the reviews that follow and the last one was also really half-assed by yours truly, because quite frankly, Royal Rumble weekend was really rough.
And that leads me to the next point.
You‘ve probably noticed that about the half way point when it comes to PPV‘s I start getting really negative about everything.
Part of that is due to the fact that yes, indeed, WWE events are way too long and tend to have shitty marquee matches these days.
But I also believe that a lot of blame for the negativity lies on me.
If I were to look at the last matches of a PPV with the same eyes as I viewed the first few matches with, then maybe I might see them differently and I wouldn‘t have to be so negative anymore.
Also, when I‘m doing PPV reviews I usually start at eight in the morning and end my work around eight or nine at night with little if any breaks in between.
That‘s just way too long and before I collapse and burn out I need to make a change.
Therefore weeks after a pay-per-view will be a bit differently from now on.
I will cut the work I do in half. On Mondays and Tuesdays I‘ll work on the PPV with a review release on Tuesday.
That means that Raw and SmackDown both move on one day.
As well as the PPV.
And then I‘ll review NXT on Fridays.
If there‘s a TakeOver that will still be released on Sundays as usual.
Now, to make things a bit more understandable, here‘s the time table for PPV weeks:
(Sunday: TakeOver)
Tuesday: PPV
Wednesday: Raw
Thursday: SmackDown
Friday: NXT
Now, if you‘re as attentive as I believe you are you might‘ve noticed that 205 Live wasn‘t included in that schedule, and that‘s not by accident.
Starting with next week I‘ll drop 205 Live from the weekly rotation.
Not only have I noticed that four Reviews a week are way to much for me with everything else I‘m trying to accomplish, but I also feel that I need a wrestling show I love to watch that I just watch for myself.
While reviewing is fun, I don‘t just watch a Raw anymore without analyzing every bit of it.
So I want something that reminds of why I‘m doing this in the first place: my love for wrestling!
And that‘s why I‘m dropping 205 from the weekly reviews.
I‘ll also move NXT to Thursdays as I have other engagements on Fridays that prevent me from giving it the attention the show deserves.
So, on non PPV weeks the schedule going forward will be as follows:
Tuesday: Raw
Wednesday: SmackDown
Thursday: NXT
I sincerely hope that you don‘t mind and understand my changes and that it will create a more relaxed writing experience for myself and a better reading experience for you.
After all I do love wrestling more than it probably deserves to be loved and it would be a shame to give it less than my best.
With that I say bring on Elimination Chamber!
Have a great weekend!
I‘ll be seeing you on Tuesday for the Chamber!
