Will we like CoronaMania?

Today I‘m gonna tell you my plans for Mania.

And if I‘m as hyped as Mojo.

Find out more by reading on!

Before I begin with the article proper, let me tell you my none elaborate plans for covering WrestleMania.

Next Sunday you‘ll be able to read my article on night one and then the following week there‘s gonna be one covering night two.

I‘m not gonna hurry. I wanna give it some time to marinate in my brain before I squirt it out into the world.

Oh, and I also already have the third week planned out.

Tiny hint: there might be a certain “Big Show” coming to Netflix soon.

So yeah, it‘s gonna be…interesting!

Now on to the real article!

By the time you‘re reading this you‘ve probably already watched night one of the “WrestleMania too big for one night”.

Or as I like to call it: the WrestleMania too boring to be viewed in one go…

But hey, future me might actually really like it.

It might end up being the best WrestleMania of all time…

Doubtful, yes, but it could happen!

Reader in the future, please tell me, was it good?

Oh god I‘m so anxious!

I need WrestleMania to be at least okay!

I have voiced my displeasure with the Corona Virus situation in regards to Mania before, so I don‘t need to get into it too much.

Still sucks.

Watching wrestling, especially Mania, without an audience is like Breaking Bad without Walter White.

Sure, it would still be an okay show, probably, but it just wouldn‘t be the same!

And that‘s exactly why I can‘t be too hyped up for it.

It‘s not gonna be a spectacle.

And yeah, they‘ll probably have some kind of surprise up their sleeves.

Maybe a home video from Stone Cold or The Rock, or whatever, but there‘s only one thing that could make this one relevant for me.

And that‘s if either Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold actually wrestled on it!

Each other, perhaps!

But they‘re never, ever, ever getting back together.

So, yeah, it‘s gonna be different.

Part of what makes WrestleMania interesting to me is the sheer spectacle.

Fireworks as far as the eyes can see, musical guests, elaborate entrances, you name it!

Sadly I don‘t see any of that fitting into the Performance Center…

Or whatever location they decide to film from.

This was filmed in at least two locations, right?

Yeah, this leads me to my second point of contention: was filmed.

As in it‘s already in the can.

WrestleMania is pre-taped, guys!

For the past week or so I‘ve purposefully avoided wrestling themed social media, because you just know that someone already leaked the results.

It‘s sadly the kind of world we‘re living in.

That‘s why I‘m not gonna do predictions, of fear of looking up the announced matches and finding out the results instead.

But anyway, back to the pre-taped thing.

It‘s just not gonna be the same, watching it and knowing that the result is already determined.

Yeah, yeah, wrestling in and of itself is predetermined, but there‘s a certain kind of immediacy when you‘re watching something live.

And yeah, even if you watch it hours later because of stupid time differences.

It just feels different.

And I guess that‘s the biggest thing with Mania this year.

It feels different.

Sure, part of that has to do with the fact that pretty much everything feels different these days.

It‘s like we‘re trapped in a Black Mirror episode titled Corona that just doesn‘t wanna end!

I hate this episode, please make it stop!

Even something as normal as walking down the streets has become a pretty bizarre ordeal.

And in all of that confusion I needed Mania to go on as planned – but I‘m never gonna get that.

I‘m never gonna see what elaborate entrance they had planned for the Fiend, or the fireworks they were gonna shoot off when Roman (who has been replaced with Braun now…) beat Goldberg…

There‘s just always gonna be that “what if” in the back of my mind that I‘ll never be able to shake off.

But maybe that‘s an advantage.

Maybe because I have no expectations it‘ll surprise me and actually be okay?

Maybe WWE can actually make this one interesting?

Maybe?

Please?

Hmph.

But whatever it‘ll be one thing‘s for sure: the next normal Mania can‘t come soon enough!

And, have you already watched the first part of CoronaMania?

How weird was it?

Tell me in the comments.

Feel free to share my feelings with your friends.

I‘ll see you next week for WrestleMania shenanigans.

Have a great Sunday!
